Pedestrian killed in Essex County is ID’d as 24-year-old man

Officials have identified the pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday morning in East Orange as a 24-year-old man.
Darian Anthony Martinez, of East Orange, was hit on Ampere Plaza near the corner of Whitney Place at 5:30 a.m., the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.
A spokeswoman for the prosecutor’s office said Tuesday afternoon no other information was available, citing the ongoing investigation.
